The Blue Nile Falls – Where the River Roars Like a Lion

Hi, I’m Varsha Viswanath — an IT Project Manager by profession, a passionate traveler by heart, and a storyteller in between. Based in Dubai, I’ve explored over 50 countries and 23 Indian states, often solo, sometimes with friends and family, but always with curiosity and intention.
My love for travel began early, when my dad — visiting from Dubai — would sit with me and a paper map to plan our annual family trip. That ritual sparked my lifelong fascination with maps, offbeat routes, and places rich in stories. Over time, this turned into a deeper love for cultural immersion, festivals, trekking, and meaningful human connections.
Since my first solo travels in 2008, I’ve hiked to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, chased the Northern Lights in Norway, wandered through tribal villages in Ethiopia, and explored war-torn Lebanon with awe and empathy. From the fjords of Scandinavia to the root bridges of Meghalaya, every journey has left its mark on me.
This blog is where I share those moments — not just places, but experiences, reflections, and the people I’ve met along the way. I believe travel isn’t about ticking off landmarks — it’s about connection.
So, whether you're here for inspiration, stories, or practical tips, welcome to my world of winding roads, mountain trails, quiet sunrises, festival drums, and unforgettable conversations.
Let’s wander meaningfully.
