Hi, I’m Varsha — an IT Project Manager by profession, a map nerd by passion, and a lifelong seeker of stories that hide in corners of the world most people overlook.
Varsha’s World is my space to share the places I go, the people I meet, the odd coincidences, the emotional highs, and sometimes, the sheer magic of just being somewhere new. I’ve travelled to over 50 countries and 23 Indian states — solo, with friends, with family — but always with wide eyes and a curious heart.

My love for travel was planted early. As a child in India, my father would return from Dubai for two months every year. Before we set out on our family trip, he would spread out a paper map and trace the route for me. That ritual turned into a lifelong obsession. Even today, one of my favorite things to do is sit with a map, pick an offbeat place, and figure out how to get there.
I started travelling independently in 2008, and by 2011, I began venturing beyond borders. My early trips were driven by a love for history and treks — the kind of places where old stones whisper old stories. Over time, that evolved into a hunger for cultural festivals, human connection, and untold traditions. Whether it’s chasing the Northern Lights in Norway, hiking to the Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan, swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines, or sitting in the Khalil Gibran museum in Lebanon during a Tagore exhibition — every journey has shaped who I am.
I write this blog not just to share travel tips, but to share moments — big, small, beautiful, awkward, funny, and sometimes deeply emotional. If you’re someone who finds joy in offbeat adventures, local flavors, soulful people, or simply wondering “what’s out there?” — welcome to Varsha’s World. I’m glad you’re here.
